Magic mix

Magic mix

4 cups nonfat dry milk
1 cup flour
1/2 cup oil

Mix with blender until it reaches a corn meal texture
Lasts 1 week in the refrigerate

This is great because it can be used to make condensed soups, popsicles, practically anything!

everydayfoodstorage.net has lots of useful recipes with the magic mix. Just do a search for magic mix!

  1. I can't begin to tell you HOW EXCITED I am that you are our new Emergency Preparedness specialist!

I honestly don't know how much of a supply of food we have. We have lots of the basics (close to a year)--the grains, rice, legumes. We have powdered milk. I'm sure that we could stay alive for 3 months, but we'd probably have scurvy or something by the end of it. ;)

I've still been asked to do the Savvy Sisters kind of stuff and would love to incorporate your knowledge and passion for emergency preparedness into some of our activities. Freezer jam was kind of the extent of my abilities, so I'll be looking to you for other ideas. I really can't wait to learn from you!
